Me today, 15 months after I achieved my Psychology undergraduate degree. 📜

I am holding my 6,000 word research dissertation titled “Exploring the relationship between locus of control, emotional intelligence and emotion regulation” in which I earned 65% 15 months ago. 🏫

I earned the role of Assistant Preschool Teacher at FICAS in September, however I had a flare up of my condition (hyperthyroidism) and ceased working. So I am still unemployed, but I still visit the school from time to time to check in with my family, friends, and schoolchildren. 🫶🏽

I am so honoured I was able to attend the graduation ceremony for the students at The First International Cambodian-American School! I think I deserve/ was granted the title of honorary British teacher and that’s why I was granted a spot in the first row. Thank you to all the staff who made this day possible! today I told my mum I was craving pho, so she told me to go out for lunch and she’d cook it for me next week. So I’m out all afternoon, get full on pho, and I come back home and she’s making kathiew (Cambodian pho). So I’ve had an unbelievably fulfilling day of meals and caught up with bestie 🍲💞

I need to spend less time on social media because I’ve been very badly addicted throughout my teenage years and still am consuming too much content. I get absorbed into social media so easily, whether it’s doom scrolling and feeling negative, or receiving so much dopamine and adrenaline that I’m always online because of it. I really like it when I can sense in a person the strength it takes to be happy again after/whilst being hurt really bad or enduring something so personal and heavy but still showing kindness and love to their inner circle, outer circle, and strangers, and I LOVE common shared interests.

I’m tailoring this account for a feed that will only be full of people I actually really wanna keep up with and whose lives I wanna see happen in real time. You’re all awesome people and I’m so happy we’ve connected at some point in our lives, you’ve all made some sort of impact on me and all I wanna do is become closer and stronger friends away from social media and in the real world.

Insight into my mind

Chances are if you're here then we already know each other. If you're interested in anything I have to say then please follow along. I'm so happy you're here with me.

I'm 22 years old and I was born and raised in West London. That's right, proper native Londoner and I love-hate it.

Three words I'd use to describe myself are: delightful, passionate, and bright.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Sussex, which I graduated from in summer 2024.

At the moment, I am on a gap year from full-time education.
